Shawn has lived in Washington all his life. He and his wife Stephanie have five children. He now has his own accounting practice here in Bellevue. I first met Shawn at BYU in a religion class. We also played a little basketball together in the old Richards Building. Fifteen years ago when I moved to Washington, we coincidentally ended up living right around the block from Shawn and his family. Here is a picture of Shawn and his daughter Jessica with me and my daughter Jamie a couple of years back. Shawn is the only guy I have ever played bball with that can tell you his complete stats after playing a game. I guess this must go along with being an accountant. Anyway, he did single handedly lead our Newport Ward to a Regional Championship one year by scoring 35 points in the final game. I believe he told me at the end of the game that he was 15-19 from the field and 5-6 from the stripe with 12 boards. Shawn is about 6'3" with a deadly fade away baseline jumper. |
