The Youth Program
Woodinville Youth Basketball, also known as Select Basketball, sponsors
teams in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. It is the feeder
program for Woodinville High School. Each youth select team usually
consists of 10 to 11 players, practices 3 times per week (starting in early
October), and plays around 40 games including tournaments. Regular
season games are played against other teams from the Eastside, and
tournaments are played against some of the best teams in the Greater
Puget Sound. The

financial commitment. Parents will need to sign the second page of the
Commitment Form and bring that to the first Tryout on September 18th along
with the medical release form in order for your son to be eligible to tryout.

Actual tryout dates will be held
September 18th, and 25th.

Costs
Select fees will be $350 per player plus a $650 fundraising obligation.
The player fee and fundraising dollars cover league fees, tournament fees, gym fees for games,
referees,
gym fees for practices, uniforms, equipment, insurance, etc.
The $350 player fee is collected at the parent meeting, which will take place the first week in October.
Fundraising obligation must be met by end of November.

Recruiting and retaining quality coaches is a key part of the success of
the Woodinville youth select program. Each year we usually identify a
